Baby's
First book--A gift of literacy from the library. A children's
book is presented to each baby born to a Library patron. This
program was expanded and a book is now presented to each baby born
at Central Montgomery Hospital too! The current book is Friends of the North Wales Library - The North Wales Library has a wonderful support group that meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM and is open to the public should you care to attend. Their mission is to bring library needs to the attention of the community, bring community needs to the attention of the library, raise funds to help support library activities, growth and development, and to promote excellence in library services, If you are interested in becoming a part of this organization, please call or leave your name, address and phone number at the circulation desk. Our Little Bookworms--For toddlers (18
months--3 years ). Toddlers meet on Tuesday morning at the Library
@ 10:30 AM for 30 minutes of story time. Children's Story Hour--Children ages
3--kindergarten are invited to attend the following Tuesday mornings
from 10AM to 11AM. Students Discuss Books-- Students in grades 5-8 will meet twice monthly at the North Wales Borough Hall, second floor, to discuss books. The group meets March - November. Books are provided. Registration is required. No fee. Young Adult Book Discussion Group--Students
in grades 9-12 meet monthly. Barnes & Nobel Book Fair Week-End - June 7th and 8th. Special events will be held on both days, including a book signing on Sunday, with sports writer Ray Didinger. If you mention you support the North Wales Library at checkout a percentage of the sale will be donated to the library. Adults Discuss Books-- A Tuesday evening
monthly, 7-9 pm at the North Wales Borough Hall, second floor. Discussion
books are available at the Library for $10/each. Call the Library
if you have any questions. Future dates: May 12th, June 17th, July
6th. North Wales Movie Night in the Park celebrate
Friday the 13th of June at North Wales Movje Night in the Catch the Reading Bug Summer Reading Club - For students that have completed first through sixth grades. The group will meet on Wednesday mornings in July and August from 10-11 AM. Registration is open now at the library. A visit from Winterthur Museum is scheduled. Basket
