The North Wales Area Library is a community center and provides life-long learning for adults.  

Libraries can be key to powering progress and elevating the quality of life
in Pennsylvania for all by using PA Forward's Five Areas of Literacy:
Basic Literacy, 

Information Literacy, 

Civic and Social Literacy,

Health Literacy,

and Financial Literacy.
 

The North Wales Area Library offers our members many programs that

Monday Movies - Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw (PG-13)

Watch new movies with us here at the library! We play two new release movies a month, on Mondays at 1:30. We will be playing Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, the newest installment in the popular Fast & Furious franchise about Lawman Luke Hobbs and outcast Deckard Shaw  who must form an unlikely alliance when a cyber-genetically enhanced villain threatens the future of humanity.

Representative Liz Handbidge's mobile office visits the library on the third Wednesday of every month. They can help with Senior SEPTA passes, unemployment assistance, PennDOT forms, vital records, notarizing state-forms, and all other state-services!

The fourth Wednesday of every month book discussion led by a facilitator. Each month’s book is always available for purchase through the library for $10.

Red Cross Blood Drive

The Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive at the library. Every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Register to give blood by going to www.redcrossbloog.org.

The North Wales Area Library will be participating in the Lansdale Mardi Gras Parade and we want you to join us! We welcome people to dress as their favorite literary character and walk with us in the parade. Registration is required by November 16.

Monday Movies - The Art of Racing in the Rain (PG)

Watch new movies with us here at the library! We play two new release movies a month, on Mondays at 1:30. We will be playing "The Art of Racing in the Rain", a adaption of the classic novel, about  a golden retriever named Enzo who, through his bond with his owner, an aspiring Formula One race car driver Denny, learns that the techniques needed on the racetrack can also be used to successfully navigate the journey of life.

All day at the Barnes and Noble on 1271 Knapp Road, North Wales PA, 19454 mention the North Wales Area Library during check out and a portion of the proceeds will go the library. In addition, we will be hosting fun events throughout the day.

Cookie Sale - Bakers Need

Every year the library has a homemade cookie sale for the holidays! You can help us continue this fun fundraiser by baking cookies for the sale. All types of cookies are welcome. The drop off dates for cookies for the sale are Saturday, December 14 and Monday, December 16.

Cookbook Club - Holiday Homemade Cookies

The Cookbook Club will be meeting in December and cooking homemade holiday cookies, either favorite recipes or from the cookbook "Great Cookies: Secrets to Sensational Sweets" At the Cookbook Club, everyone picks a recipe from the same cookbook, makes them, and meets to share food and discuss the cookbook. Leftover cookies from this meeting will go to the Library's Cookie Sale. Registration is required, register by emailing librarian@northwaleslibrary.org./

Cookie Sale

Every year the library has a homemade cookie sale for the holidays! Cookies are $10 a pound, or $5 a half-pound. Pre-orders are encouraged. Buyers cannot specific what type of cookies they want, but they should notice the library of any allergy information when order cookies.

The Creative Age

Join Instar Learning Alliance as they showcase the achievements of our senior population and celebrate creativity in the second half of life! Their presentation will focus on Dr. Gene Cohen's fascinating research on creativity when combined with age and experience, as well as examine some well-known senior creatives and their extraordinary accomplishments.

Weir Learning Card Games

Mondays 1:00-6:00pm

Learn card games while your logic, math and strategic thinking skills are strengthened. Instructed by Brenda Weir.

Would you like one-on-one help to better understand Windows, how to best manage your files, help with Microsoft Word, Email, browsing the web, security questions, or anything else specific on your PC? Get assistance by having someone sit with you and help you understand using your PC.  Sign up now for one-on-one computer tutoring.
