For Children

The North Wales Area Library offers fun-filled programs to encourage reading in young learners. 

 

Our activities teach all age groups the value and enjoyment of exploring the world
through literature. Join us for one or more of the programs below

Our ongoing children's programs include:
Baby's First Book

A gift of literacy from the
North Wales Area Library and Univest, a PA ONEBOOK every young child selection is presented to each baby born to a library patron. 

 

Sign up below with the name and birth date of the new baby and we will customize a bookplate for inside the cover of your baby’s book.

Storytime 
All ages welcome

Listen to stories, sing songs, play and color.

Toddler Tech
For ages 3 - 6 years

Hands on Tech time for toddlers featuring Code-a-Pillars, BizyBeez, and Magnetiles.

No registration required.

Read to the Dog
For Grades 2 - 5
*SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE*

Several Saturdays per month
from 10:30 - 11:30am.

Join us for a fun way to encourage reading! Children register on a first come, first read basis to read aloud to a trained therapy dog.

Butterfly Story Time

We are hosting a series of events with Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association. These events are all have a nature theme and are fun for the whole family. No registration required.

Multi-Media Art Camp

At this fun art camps students will work with a variety of materials including; air-dry clay, paint, pencil, marker, oil pastel, printmaking techniques, collage, paper weaving, mixed media, crayons, and more! The program is  $130 for the week, and includes snacks and supplies. Please bring a lunch, water bottle, and a beach towel. Send in full payment with registration before May 1 and save $10 on each registration. Register multiple children and save $5 off each additional sibling registered. Questions?
