Thank you to Jacqueline R. Smith for her generous donation with her passing.

Jacque was a strong believer in libraries and the services they provide as hubs for education and community. She loved to read. Her first job as a teenager was in the local branch on Staten Island, NY, shelving books and working the desk.

She was a firm advocate for life long learning, with two bachelor’s degrees, and always had a book close at hand. Having a local library sparked that love of learning.

We hope to carry on her light and passion for life long learning and reading in our library.
